JUNE:
Friday 13th June – Thursday 31st July : ‘Re:Formation’ An Installation. ‘Re:Formation’ is a site-specific installation made in response to displaced people who find themselves without a home through circumstances beyond their making – warfare, poverty and homelessness. The use of gold survival blanket is a reference to first responders giving these to people who’ve survived the cold water sea crossings. Re:Formation is intended to raise questions about compassion and empathy in our society, where many are opposed to split communities. The use of gold will create a dramatic effect that appears ‘splendid’ but on closer thought the viewer may begin to reflect on issues of those who ‘have’ and those ‘who have not’. Links: Re:Formation
