St Mary’s Church, Meare

St Mary’s Church, is part of the Church of England Glastonbury Benefice, with St John the Baptist and St Benedict’s Churches in Glastonbury.

The building dates from 14th Century and has many historical features. Today it is an inclusive, friendly, village church and visitors always receive a warm welcome.

Services

A Holy Communion Service is held on the first Sunday of the month at 11am in St Mary’s Church. On the fifth Sunday, there is usually a Benefice Communion Service held in each church, alternately.

Sunday 15th March, 10am: Mothering Sunday Benefice Communion Service at ST BEN’S CHURCH followed by “OPEN HOUSE” to look at new floor incl. music, tea, cake etc – Parish Event

Tuesday 31st March, 2pm: Meare School’s Easter Service in St Mary’s Church, Meare.

Sunday 3rd May, 3 – 5pm: Plant Sale with Refreshments in St Mary’s Church, Meare.

Sunday 21st June, 3 – 5pm: Strawberry Tea, in St Mary’s Church, Meare.

Sunday 28th November, 10.30am – 2.30pm: Christmas Bazaar in the Church Rooms.

Friday 18th December, 2 – 4pm: Christmas Table Decoration Workshop in the Church Rooms.
