LICENSING SERVICE

HELLO, and thank you for inviting me to be your new vicar! I’m really looking forward to meeting people, getting to know you, and discovering what God is doing in the benefice of Glastonbury and Meare.  I grew up here in Somerset, across the levels, and the incredible landscapes we have here have always been important to me and to my connection with God. I’ve been away from Somerset for all my adult life and so I’m delighted to be able to be “home” again, and really looking forward to putting down roots here. I’ve most recently been ministering as a university college Chaplain in Oxford, and before that I did my curacy in Northamptonshire. Prior to ordination, many moons ago now, I was a project manager working in the transport industry.   My family is made up of Tom, my husband, and our two children, Jonty and Toby, who are 11 and 9. We also have a lovely lurcher, Pippa, who is looking forward to some good walks. Outside of church I enjoy cooking, reading, and being in nature. I’m also learning to knit (very slowly!).  I look forward to all that is to come. With every blessing,   Alice
